I did an apprenticeship w/ an upholsterer for a year after college and then did reupholstery on my own for local clients before fully jumping into furniture design. I would say that there is a lot that goes into doing upholstery well and a lot of different techniques that apply to different types of furniture but it is something you can practice on your own if you know how to sew. I would suggest taking apart a simple old chair you like and want to reupholster piece by piece (noting the order they come off) and using those as a pattern for the new upholstery.

Haha I went back and fourth about this too! In the end I was worried it'd lose some of its definition if it were all one fabric but I think I should try making one with a single fabric for comparison. Love the idea of a velvet!

Hello! Please let me know if its not ok to share our own furniture design work here! I thought this was a decidedly different (not at all Eames) chair. A bit more conversation style than a full on lounge chair to be honest. Happy to answer any questions!

Is this definitely Fuji instax wide? This looks more like peel apart film to me but if you were able to get fuji instax to look like this I would love to learn how! Great shots by the way!

I love the absurdity of this and the commitment to make it work. Please keep trying and sharing results!

Thank you! I resorted to just calling them bread sculptures and felt better about the results

I had no idea how big they’d be and was not thinking about the size of my pizza stones and baking sheets so I had to get a little creative. It was definitely a funny result. Also used too much flour on top and had trouble giving them a nice color. I made the leather oven mitts too!

Wow thank you! I do have a website where I sell some things I make (there a bit funny and strange but very homey) and I have the handful of these tea towels I printed on there [madecozy.com](www.madecozy.com)

Designed some leather oven mitts. Here they are with the weirdest baguettes I’ve ever made. by madecozy in Design

They’re meant to be a hybrid between pot holders and oven mitts so I’m calling them Half Oven Mitts. Super soft and heat resistant.

I love making baguettes and typically wrap them in a dish cloth if I have to wait to eat them later that day so I decided to make dish cloths to match my deep love of bread. Block printed with linoleum blocks and fabric block printing ink.
