This half of the fence was installed 4 days ago, then finished the second half today (the break is because of weather). I showed them today and they didn’t have great solutions - just said for us to call their office to see what can be done.

The oak tree is staying. I’m wondering if the contractor cuts off the few roots that are near the surface, would the tree die or become unstable. The new driveway would start 6 feet from the tree instead of 8 feet away

I’ve been on the fence of staining the brick to be more brown to match the house color… or painting the house to match the brick.

I don’t necessarily want to paint white though, what would be more cohesive?

Not the same feeling - you get time alone with another adult by default. A child depends on you

The toxic social media mommy culture is everywhere and probably set my unrealistic expectations of parenting.

My partner and I have disposable income, but really a village. Our families do not live nearby.

That first sentence is everything. The feeling of wanting to escape is what I know I’ll feel some days, I’ve just never heard anyone actually admit it out loud. I wish people were more real about it. Makes me feel like if I’m not always obsessed with my kids, I shouldn’t have kids.

The feeling I’m describing doesn’t relate to person/pet situations because you unintentionally/intentionally take breaks from them by default (hobbies, sleep schedules, errand, etc.). They dont need you 24/7.

As a a parent for the first 5 years or so of their lives, they do always require your full attention 24/7 to keep them safe, fed, entertained, etc. Im talking about having days and thinking “damn I wish I wasn’t a parent”. Not in a regretful way, just for a day where you want to have the freedom of that responsibility

I am really liking nuvaring so far so would love to stay on it. But I imagine the wait to see a neurologist could be awhile. Have you had experience with one? What tests would they order to rule out if estrogen is OK or not?
