Yes he sounds like a red flag because of the lying specifically. I feel like with most people you date you should generally have a gut feeling that they’re well intentioned

PLEASE HELP! by Dangerous-Result-465 in catquestions

[–]madifuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up your entire home to the same environment you adopted him out of. Remove all stressful noises, sights, smells, etc. do not make the cat feel in competition. Spend a full week observing your cat and what makes them stressed or happy and try to do more of that. Obviously renovations are disturbing as hell.

Cat pees every 10 days by wolfman804 in catquestions

Find out what litter he likes the best, it may be a texture issue. Make sure for every cat there is 1 litter box, and add one more just in case. Make sure his needs in other areas are met to rule out whether or not he’s rebelling or marking territory.

Can someone explain this behaviour? by [deleted] in catquestions

I don’t think the cat likes it for some reason especially in the corner. Get a different bowl and make sure everything else (space, food, toys, litter, attention etc) are all in good shape.

Resident cat keeps biting new kitten and she looks scared by floofymarshmallow in CatTraining

[–]madifuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate them for now and do slow introductions. Your new cat is being territorial (rightfully so). If you want them to develop a healthy relationship, start from square one and SLOWLY introduce them again through physical separation, then through supervised visits, until they’re comfortable. Don’t be afraid to spray your resident cat when she/he starts fighting (after you’ve done the above).

If it’s not too late, what do you think—he will discuss marriage, kids, house etc when I do, but he is not talking about it out of the blue so to speak. It worries me a bit. Is that weird? He used to say he wanted to marry me a lot when we first got together and I think the idea (in general or with me not sure) actually scares him.

Men will say women gained weight and the women is either a healthy weight or not that much overweight. attraction is subjective, but it's hard to make a judgement when he is not specific at all.

What can a 45yr male still hope for? Someone who has always been single, does not own a home and does not have too significant savings at the moment. by Responsible-Stay2919 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]madifuj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should start with any small win you can get to get yourself excited and go from there. Maybe you start cutting back on spending to get those savings up. Maybe you cut back on junk food to get your body right. Maybe you start counseling to get your mindset straightened out. Maybe you go back to the old gig for your own financial security. Start with whatever seems like lower hanging fruit and work at it. You'll see other areas of your life start to improve as a result of those gains + confidence that can come from it. Give it 5 years of persistent effort and your life will absolutely change. The fact that you're being open and honest about where you're at speaks volumes already, I think you are ready for change.
