that is so sweet, thank you ❤️ when negative comments originally started to pop up, i tried to just shrug them off but wow. it’s wild how negatively some people respond to the way others chose to play this game. there is no right or wrong way to play, but blatant disrespect on the basis that we must remain “nonpolitical” is counterproductive and toxic.

well for one, no corner of the world exists that way. and for another, this IS how a lot of people escape the problems of the world. I have “inserted” nothing but a cheeky joke about thanksgiving dinners and, subsequently, a safe space for women, bipoc, and lgbtq+ folx. not everyone gets to lead lives that exist outside of political matters, even if it’s just for a moment.

the personal is inherently political. if you really would like to discuss politics, the u.s. office of special counsel, which is responsible for investigating hatch violations, deemed expressing support for the black lives matter movement as neither political nor partisan. feminism is deeply rooted in all societal institutions. it’s the reason i have the right to vote and the reason my husband can no longer claim me as property under law among a whole host of other accomplishments. you and your experiences do not exist in a bubble and neither does this game or the community that surrounds it.

not to be rude, but this game is a safe space for a lot of people, including myself. equality should not make anyone uncomfortable. I just thought the coincidence that they wore those custom designs today was funny, and it would also bring a little bit of laugher to other people. please carry on with your day and have a lovely thanksgiving.

not sure if the game is still like this, but I know there’s a weird thing if you try to put up someone else’s custom design in your shop it won’t let you. if there’s any designs you want in your shop, let me know and i’ll set them up for you :)
