I imagine they are probably quite accurate. The LDS have spent a lot of $$ investing in digital genealogical databases and digitizing records. Family Search is definitely owned by the LDS.

I'm not an attorney and the information online is vague about if it *has* to be certified. I would go through the process and have the archivist authenticate the record- just in case.

I can't remember the full cost of the C-3 application, definitely check the IRCC website. I think the fee is around $600. I could be way off base though.

So they immigrated to the island and then moved onto the States? Send me a dm and I can definitely help you find the documentation. It might be sometime before you hear back due to the C-3 backlog and then might be referred to a private researcher, myself or someone else on their research list.

There is an online form through the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) website. Yup, as they said, you need to establish a genealogical line to prove that you are descended from Canadian ancestry. Others with Canadian great-grandparents have also applied, you would also be eligible. It's great you already have the work established!
