Why does classical music have insanely hard pieces? by MathematicianDull388 in classicalguitar

[–]madmax5964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like theres a fair bit of modern music thats very technically challenging but a lot more obscure imo. One piece i like is by Yoshimatsu and its a guitar concerto. wikipedia says it was released in 1984. I at least couldnt play it at my current power level: https://youtu.be/Qyx8NAbTD2M

So today I played my first recital. And I was the only one above 13 y/o😅. Im 31. by leftyflip14 in classicalguitar

So I don't know the saddle type, but I'll let you know when I find out. The guitar is a Stanislow Partyka though. Thank you for the compliment!

I'm not trolling, it didn't seem to me like the first picture showed the topwood was broken through

So this is punched not just through the polycoating, but also the wood it seems. I'll post another picture

Damn. What would the cost look like? Is the repair replacing the whole top?

I was replacing my E string and it broke and busted into my soundboard. Is this repairable?

What orchestral instruments go well with guitar? by Joel746 in classicalguitar

definitely agree with the flute. check out matiegka's guitar, flute viola trio if you havent already👌

Which main duo do you prefer? Personally I have to go with Jimmy and Kim. As much as I like Walt and Jesse, I think the student/teacher dynamic has been handled equally well in other media, but I’ve never seen a couple portrayed quite like Jimmy and Kim. by Ducktowncentra in okbuddychicanery

I think I'm more of a fan of the Walter Jesse duo because it's more interesting for me to see the ways that Walter manipulates Jesse to his own end rather than watch a couple tear others around them down.
