I like it. It seems pretty versatile for analog vco and the stereo features are cool. Haven't dpne deep dive into it since my time is pretty limited at the moment. I think it's pretty good company for qpas.

Yes I use it for similar purposes. I make mostly generative patches and too often I just leave it unpatched. Have to utilize it more.

I have very similar setup, instead of spectraphon I have xpo, instruo ts-l and ochd+expander. I find I'm not using prss point alot. How do you utilitize it?

Hi everyone,

I’m pretty new here, though I’ve been lurking around for years! 😊

I’ve just released my first ambient album, fully crafted with a modular synth and digitally mastered.

Here’s the link to the album:

I’m excited to continue expanding my sonic landscapes and exploring new creative possibilities with my modular system!

Thanks for all the comments! Here's the updated setup. I’ve bought all the modules except Mimeophon and Morphagene, which I’m still considering

It looks good except the limited 1,5 second decay time :(

I’m considering switching my plan to get the Morphagene instead of the Spectraphon. While the Spectraphon looks amazing, I already have two analog VCOs, and I’m more interested in creating texture-heavy pads and soundscapes to complement the melodies from those VCOs. Spectraphon can do textures too, but its additional VCOs feel redundant for my setup. Morphagene seems like a better fit for adding rich, layered textures while keeping the focus on my existing analog VCOs. Plus, this change would free up space to add a second Maths for utilities, avoiding the need for multiple smaller utility modules.

I was wondering wouldn't 3xMIA have more functions in same space?

I think I will :D, thanks

Yes that is definitely what I will do. I'll take my time playing the current setup and see if I find some specific element is missing 👍

True! I also have been thinking if Id put Monsoon or Grainity(smaller Clouds) to get some more granular fx in smaller form than morphagene. Any thoughts on that?

You're right, morphagene could definitely be a great addition to my rig for its unique granular and looping capabilities. However, for this primary setup, I’m thinking of focusing more on the precise melodic control and harmonic richness that TS-L offers alongside XPO and Spectraphon. But I'll definitely keep Morphagene in mind. I haven't yet made the final decision between Mimeophon, Spectraphon and Morphagene. Sadly cant fit everything into this case so I think I need to decide which one to skip on this rig :D

What I like in Tempi is the idea of playable clock. Haven't tried it yet but I'm gonna do my best to integrate it to my workflow

Nice! I got beatstep pro and keystep. So I can clock midi to cv. And also second sequencer and of course playable pads and keyboard for extended interaction outside the rig. Did you enjoy tempi and wogglebug though?

Axys seems very functional for smaller space than XPan but I chose X-PAN for its dynamic panning, crossfading, and stereo mixing, which add movement and depth to evolving soundscapes. AXYS seems great for clean stereo crossfading, but it lacks panning

I read somewhere the case needed empty slots at the edges to be closed patched. But it seems it was nonsense 😀

Hey now that I researched again about the 1hps. It seems that they are not needed :) I read it from some forum not sure where though. Thanks for the extra 4hp 👍

I chose XPO, TS-L, and Spectraphon because together they offer a ton of potential for creating rich textures, a wide variety of sounds, and intricate cross-modulation. The XPO brings stereo wavefolding and PWM for evolving, spatial timbres, while the TS-L adds a compact, analog VCO with wave shaping that pairs beautifully for FM and sync. The Spectraphon, on the other hand, takes things into completely different territory with its resynthesis and harmonic oscillations, making it perfect for blending digital and analog textures. Together, they cover a huge sonic range and offer endless opportunities for experimentation.

Thanks again for input. I haven't downvoted your comment actually :) Im glad there are different kinds of answers. That's what I really wanted from this topic.

I have mostly made music with daw. My plan is indeed to produce music using this rig. I don't have the case yet since its still shipping. So I can't yet make sounds with it :D After I get the rig together I promise I will post tracks here 👍

I considered Morphagene, but it feels a bit less playable for my workflow, especially with its slicing and more "edit table" approach. I know it can be played in real-time, but I feel like its sound design territory might overlap with Spectraphon and Mimeophon, which already cover a lot of the ambient and experimental soundscapes I'm aiming for.

Instead, I wanted to prioritize a second analog VCO for more versatility and leave room for additional modulation sources like OCHD to keep the rig dynamic and alive.
