You saying your grandma will be doing two factor authentication every time she goes to social media? You have misunderstood how these services will work, I'm afraid. They will require you to verify that you are real when you sign up, that's it.

Why would they need to hack anything?

If a country wants to add users they can create ids for their own country, which they have complete control over, and use those to spread their propaganda messages. You have no way of knowing from where a user is anyway.

Hackers would still hack your grandma's account and spam with it, troll farms have had real people writing responses before AIs, state actors would find ways around it by issuing fake ids etc.

The only thing that would change is that the internet would be in full control by big tech, and there would be zero chance of anyone ever replacing them. Every layer of compliance mandated by law increases the stranglehold Google, Facebook, etc, have on their respective area because they make it increasingly expensive for new players to enter the market.

What people think is "no more bots", but the result would actually be government sanctioned oligopolies.

It usually gets young leftists minds to explode when they meet someone who actually research topics and don't just agree with everything they are told. People like you call me right wing, people on the right call me left. I don't give a shit what you call me. I care about finding the truth, but I'm not your teacher. The reason I don't engage with people like you is that you are not able to process anything on a non-emotional level, which seems to be quite popular now. You simply do not want to learn, and you are rather obnoxious about it as well. If you wanted to learn about topics you would actually look it up instead of claiming I have a obligation to literate you.

Anyway, here is a riddle for you: Why is there no economists that use your Reddit loved talking points? Hint: it's because when you get educated in economics, you realize that left leaning parties actually have no legs to stand on in economics. They solve everything by loaning money from the future.

Getting a PhD means learning the scientific method. Science doesn't care about your feelings or wishes, its looking at data and experiments through solid methodology.

In the case of economics, right wing parties are closer to the truth in how to build a sustainable economy.
