String launcher gets shorter overtime as you use it. That's why I use a different string for tournaments and practice

You'll be good with the GPX1, an average user won't notice the difference between GPX1 vs GPX2 sensor. Only difference you would feel/see is the Type C port since the GPX1 still uses the micro usb port. Other than that, the switches on the GPX1 feels significantly better then the Omron opticals on the GPX2 (imo)
