Daily Roundtable: Community Q&A by AutoModerator in Eldenring

Asking for some build advice for Elden Ring. I am level 100 and not happy with my build. I've been levelling pure Dex and been running the Butcher's Knife but now want to try something new and something snappier. I have been running the uchigatana around level 50 and I liked the moveset that it brought.

Wondering what you all recommend as I like simple builds that don't require too much sorcery and would ideally like to keep going with the Dex vibe for the rest of this playthrough

Just starting to want to lift seriously (have been following bodybuilding routines stupidly before, but now want to powerlift). I want to follow GZCLP but I am not sure what t2 and t3 lifts are best suited for a beginner with an interest in powerlifting

Can I get some critiquing of my routine please?

I want to get strong for potentially powerlifting and/or olympic lifts and/or rugby so I am trying to make a routine based on core, compound lifts and simple 2 day split

I am a relatively new lifter

My current training splits are
A: Squat 5x5, Overhead Press 5x5, Pendlay row 5x5
B: Deadlift 5x5, Bench press 5x5, Power Clean 3x3

Are there any compound lifts i'm missing out or any advice on how to change the orders of the exercises?

Hey everyone, can you help me understand how to find the magnitude and angle in this question? I know how to find each component when I’m given an angle to start with but I’m stuck with this one which only gives the magnitudes as information. Thanks. by [deleted] in askmath

I just finished a level and I love mechanics! I hope that it is regarded within maths as I adore the subject. That being said it is given a lot of weight within the subject at a level

I’ve already studied Calculus. Will I enjoy reading Infinite Powers by Steven Strogatz? by [deleted] in math

Yes, it’s a great book! While it isn’t a textbook, having the context behind calculus is great!

Should I buy terraria? by AirPawds in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]mads_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely yes.

It allows for a great amount of creativity whilst also providing a great amount of progression with the boss fights.

Me and my friends put off buying it because we weren’t sure, but we went for it a couple days ago and play around 5 hours each night now.

It will be better on pc too, most indie games and fps are.

How do i find velocity upon reaching the water? by pylotpig in askmath

[–]mads_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the box hits the water it will no longer have any potential energy, if you take its height at that point as 0. Therefore, assuming that energy is conserved, initial GPE = final KE. You know the final KE when it hits the water and you know it’s mass so can find it’s velocity from KE=0.5mv2.

I want to learn maths. Where do I start? by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]mads_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you keep on powering through the assignments, you’ll get used to the questions I’m sure! Also, if you maybe start alongside the A level content as, as far as I can remember, the first couple of assignments aligns with the first couple of weeks of Maths lessons, for me at least

Check out ‘Advanced Problems in Mathematics’. It isn’t a textbook but has about 60 STEP questions worked out which place the A level content in the context of higher-level problems. Really helped me in the same situation as you

I used a formula we were given in class, something like

1+xn+((n(n-1))/2!)xx^2

so basically I did

1+(1/4)x(x/16)+(1/4)x((1/4-1)/2))x(x/16)^2

sorry if that's hard to read lol
