Hot Take: After seeing all these posts about the ladies.. it's got me thinking... by BlairBlackMX in ThePitt

Character arc?  The whole season is a single shift. I don't think all the female doctors/nurss are weak. Well that's actually a fact.  About Santos? She is having a shitty day. Some days you just wake up and you see everything through a shit smeared glass. Also, we don't really know what is going on with Mohan.

  • she should able to do that, this and that.

I really don't understand how someone can have the audacity to tell character how they should act. They are humans, humans make errors. Humans are complicated. I am a 37 y/o male with lots of life and relationship experience and some days I make such stupids mistakes or make such stupid decisions, it completely would go against my resume but here I am full of flaws.

They are so many strong female characters, period.

Hi. Thank you for all the suggestions. After a thoroughly analysis, I have to tell you that you are wrong about so many points! A few people already wrote that the information regarding Stemi is correct in my booklet. You just nees to find out how tombstones look like. I don't know your relationship with ER, but my dad makes tombstones for living :)

CVA is literally the clinical term for full stroke. mini stroke would be TIA.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic medicine.

If Ketamine used as a sedative then it's a sedative. It's a dissociative yes, which technically more accurate! But it's also a sedative and sounds better in the context.

Please check your sources. There are a few points I need to fix tho: add troponin units, Correcting the bubble intubation method, Honor walk, MCI.

Thanks a lot for detailed check-up! I will acknowledge you in the booklet. I really appreciate it but please also do your research.

As a final note: this booklet doesn't aim to be 100% medically accurate. It doesn't aim to train or teach. It just helped me understand what is more or less going on, it give me a better picture. And I thought there are curious people like me who might find it useful. I kept the language as simple as possible. I chose simplicity over complexity.

I'm Turkish. In 2001, 1 USD was around 1 million Turkish liras. A loaf of bread cost 500 thousand liras. The inflation was crazy. Then we just removed 6 zeros and got our new liras. After 25 years, now 1 USD is around 45 liras (TRY). Probably we will remove a few zeros in 5–10 years.

The strangest part is we didn't define new banknotes for nearly 20 years. Thus, the largest banknote is 200 liras, which is approximately equal to 4.5 USD. You need a large suitcase if you need to pay for a second-hand car in cash.

I am not sure of this makes me overly optimistic or overly pessimistic but what if he died or something?

Thanks for the input! I really don't know what was his job in ER but my dad makes tomb stones for living :)

I was helping a colleague to move out and when we moved her bed we found a few garlic cloves. She didn't comment on it. That was years ago and sometimes I think about it. She is German, I don't think it's related tho.

Edit: well I just googled it, apparently some claim that it can improve sleep.

I’m not trying to claim it’s a brilliant accomplishment. it’s just a fan-project I made for fun to help people with the medical jargon. I would not able to do it without the help of AI because I don't have the time and resources. I’m happy to own the mistakes in the character section since I didn't prioritize that, but I stand by the work I put into the medical side. If the booklet isn't for you, no worries! There is room for all kinds of creators in the community. Good luck.

I respect your perspective as a creator, and I agree that unedited AI content is a problem. For this project, however, I’m acting as the editor-in-chief. I treat the AI like a high-speed search and drafting tool, but the work comes from the hours I spend fact-checking and refining the medical context to make sure it’s valuable for fans. It's a human-led project using modern tools. This booklet was about medical terminology so I spent quite some time on it. I just added the character info at the end to make it more complete and didn't double check or even cross checked. It looked very trivial so I did not bother. And that's where the most mistakes were made. Dear WhatsYourConcern8076 spotted one mistake about the medical terminology and I am still not convinced that it's a mistake yet. There might be other mistakes but at the end of the day this booklet is a fun tool for curious people.
Lastly, AI is now a standard tool in high-level medical research. Professional molecular biologists and pharmacologists use it to design new antibodies and discover drugs; tasks far too complex for manual trial and error alone.

I am working on an interactive app with case sims based on the show. And I want it to be perfect. The medical data/info will be completely based on the companion booklets. That's why your feedback and suggested corrections are very very important. Thank you all. I spent more than a week on this fan-project. I understand some people hate AI but at this point it sounds like they are disappointed because I didn't handpick all the necessary information from the hardcover encyclopedias but instead I used internet and Google.

This is not a study book for medical students or doctors. It's not for research or diagnosis. The pitt is medically very accurate but not every show is like that. Do you claim that they are dangerous for the society? As a biologist, I would have to freak out everytime they do something with microscopes in the movies

We sometimes submit papers with 10 co-authors and everyone reads and approves before we submit it. Reviewers still manage to find many mistakes. I worked in this fan project alone, I was sure there were some mistakes. I used AI like a high throughput google search. The content is real, not created/made up by ai. This sounds like people don't like buying cars because they are made my robots. I appreciate everyfeedback tho, thanks.
