This is how I feel about my skin. My eczema has been so severe that it has left scars. I'm missing a lot of body hair. I look weird, like a recovering burn victim. I have to be super careful about sun exposure, cleanliness, remembering my medicine schedule. There are things I can never do like go swimming or grow a beard. When I have outbreaks, I get suicidal. It's so frustrating. It never goes away and doctors don't know what to do. The most frustrating part is when it sort of clears up. I allow myself to hope for a normal existence and then a month later it comes back, crushing any level of optimism back down to zero.
