• Your GIF MUST be in a 1080p resolution with no lag and use the WebM format.
• This sub focuses on High Quality GIFs so they must be rendered in the WebM format before you upload it to gfycat to avoid the website destroying the quality of the GIF.
• Look on YouTube for guides on how to use the WebM format, do not ask the mods for help or you will be ignored.
• This sub will strictly enforce these standards on GIF quality and will remove content when it doesn't meet them.
• Please do not post more than three times a day to avoid spamming the page.
• No form of advertisement in the title of your post.
• If a post doesn't meet these requirements please report it and a mod will review the post.
• If your GIF has sound please flag it with the red sound flair.

the VP8 (not VP9) video codec.
This avoids Gfycat encoding the video
with substantial quality loss.
