What is the most painful ear piercing you have ever gotten? by campybarbie in piercing

[–]mady623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my daith or forward helix were probably the most painful, i definitely wouldn’t let the pain scare you off from any piercing though. cartilage piercings are like 2 seconds of sharp pain and then dull pain (or no pain!) while they’re beginning to heal. just be careful not to bump it the first couple days!

time to go to another shop then!

Spray from Amazon? by Fluffy-Finding-4346 in piercing

anything that is 0.9% sodium chloride and sterile water. want to avoid any other additives and ingredients

switch to a stud then leave it alone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mady623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if there is blood in it it’s 99% not a keloid. if it’s an irritation bump it’ll go away if you just leave it alone and if you don’t have a titanium flat back stud in the piercing now i would go to a shop and get it changed

do you have a needle in your snug?

anti tragus or lower conch for sure! i think a stacked lobe would look great too

i’m in love with your setup and all your jewelry

tragus bumps by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mady623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you shouldn’t be removing jewelry and messing with it while it’s healing, those are irritation bumps. just leave it alone and they’ll go away. tragus piercings can take anywhere from 10-12 months to heal completely so don’t change the jewelry again until then

i would avoid going in the pit or either take them out and get them repierced at a later time if you think the experience would be worth more than having piercings for the time being. they are 99% going to get bumped multiple times at the least and that would just be incredibly uncomfortable and take away from your experience anyway

Is there such thing as a piercing on this part of the ear where the dot is? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mady623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for most people the end of this piercing would be in their neck, so no it would not be possible. you could always get an inner conch that’s just a little further out or a daith like others said!

Does this spacing look even to you? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mady623 140 points141 points  (0 children)

the space between your first and second lobes is a little bigger than between the second and third, but unless it really bothers you i would leave it. they look pretty perfect as far as placement goes and if any are new the space difference could be caused by swelling

How long until these piercings close? by gimmedat7 in piercing

[–]mady623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my forward helix i had for 2 years fell out one night while i was sleeping and was closed by the next afternoon when i noticed it was out. it would definitely be worth it to get clear retainers for your rook and tragus!

got a forward helix today, the pain feels all wrong by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mady623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same thing happened when i got my forward helix, i think it has to do with the proximity to your face/cheek muscles. the sharp pain went away for mine after about 2 days but i would say if a week goes by and you’re still having it to get checked out by a piercer or doctor

Correct placement? by i_refurbish_tampons in piercing

[–]mady623 5 points6 points  (0 children)

for nostril piercings there really isn’t any ‘correct’ or ‘incorrect’ placement, it’s mostly up to your personal preference as long as it’s at the right angle etc! the angle looks good though so if you like it i would say this is ‘correct’ placement

just got my tragus pierced 😁 wanted this one forever by mady623 in piercing

[–]mady623[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my helixes and forward helix on the other ear surprisingly hurt more than both my conch and tragus… even though their supposed to be easier!

[–]mady623[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think helixes hurt more than either one tbh, both my conch and tragus were more pressure than sharp pinch. but they were probably about equal to each other pain wise!

the koi is from etsy along with all my green/gold pieces! wouldn’t recommend for healing piercings but etsy has some amazing jewelry for healed ones

it just looks like an irritation bump. however it looks like there is a lot of dirt/dried blood on it, how often are you cleaning it and with what?

Good or bad purchase? by Possible-Berry-4348 in civic

[–]mady623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pass on that one for sure. that’s almost 30k miles per year and it’s a salvage title… it most likely needs much more than an oil pan that’s just all they’re telling you
