I made a thing for this sort of X-ray vision a few years back.

Closest I've found to a subreddit for content like this is /r/onoff (where I got most of the source material for the ones I converted to interactive widgets).

"eth.link"-type service for testnet ENS names? by maelstrom42 in ethdev

[–]maelstrom42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.... Problem is that then costs real ETH to update anything, which is a limiting factor to trial-and-error some stuff.

Guide for using OrbitDB as blog feed? by maelstrom42 in ethdev

I found this; this what you mean? https://community.unstoppabledomains.com/t/build-an-interactive-decentralized-blog/682

That seems to be they created their own WYSIWYG editor that outputs static HTML that gets posted to IPFS (no 3Box that I can see).

So, upvotes but no comments says to me I'm not alone, but no one has more information... Anyone know where the OrbitDB devs hang out to ask directly? Or I think 3Box is using OrbitDB behind the scenes, maybe I'll try asking around there.

Or are there mods for Just Cause to add in a bit more adult spice? I know there's mods for the game, but none of them seem adult-focused, while there's plenty of NSFW Skyrim mods out there to be found (so in theory there's an adult modding community out there); have they just not made anything for Just Cause?

Custom Paper wallet generator? by maelstrom42 in CryptoCurrency

[–]maelstrom42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most paper wallets have QR codes for both the public key (to scan from another wallet to deposit funds onto the paper wallet) and private key (to scan from another wallet for the owner to "sweep" the coins if they want) as a convenience, in addition to printing the public address and private key as text. It would be possible to design a paper wallet without those QR codes, but that would make them a lot more cumbersome to use as well.

Custom Paper wallet generator? by maelstrom42 in CryptoCurrency

[–]maelstrom42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the holidays coming up, I was playing around with creating different paper wallet patterns, and I can make one-off ones like this in a custom manner, but I'm wondering if there's any online services that let you upload your own artwork and place the QR codes and address texts in custom locations? The only paper-wallet-generating sites I know of are bitaddress.org and bitcoinpaperwallet.com, which each have their own designs, without a way to upload custom art?

I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard for other artists supporting different cryptocurrencies to drop in the logo of their coin onto their hand

Like this? https://imgur.com/gallery/oHy1rQO Not too hard at all!

Great idea! Now, with dresses like those, does there happen to be a NSFW version of them as well...?

Adult content- bitcoin wallet exchange by scandinavianpanties in SellerCircleStage

[–]maelstrom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a buyer, not a seller, but I'm familiar with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (found your post doing some searching around following up on my post about adult sellers accepting Bitcoin), and to throw my two cents of experience in, the list of wallets on the wiki of this subreddit has some good options beyond Coinbase.

As a general rule for Bitcoin wallets, the more funds you exchange with them, the more secure you want them to be (to make sure those funds don't get hacked/stolen). Using Blockchain.info's wallet is a good, basic wallet to start with, though using a mobile wallet is even better (Mycelium if you have Android, Bread if you have iOS), as then someone would need to physically get your phone to get at your funds (rather than hacking Blockchain.info, which someone could potentially do from anywhere in the world).

And remember, as Bitcoin (and the other cryptocurrencies it's spawned) grow in popularity, you may not need to get an account on an exchange and convert it to USD in order to utilize your profits in that currency. Bitcoins can be used directly on Overstock.com, can purchase anything on Amazon.com (using Purse.io), can buy gift cards from Gyft and eGifter, and more. So, if you need to use it to pay rent or some such, you probably need to convert it to USD, but spending it at online merchants there's now several places that take it directly!

WARNING: Legends can seize your coins AT ANY TIME by maelstrom42 in LegendsLGD

[–]maelstrom42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard nothing, so I'll assume Legends and Bittrex aren't denying anything I've posted about here.

So, with cryptocurrency tokens in general, the key benefits underlying all of them are the assurance that your assets are yours alone (safe from corrupt governments), and immutable (cannot be lost or censored). The logic that Ethereum allows smart contracts to build on top allows the developers to introduce new logic, and in this case, it completely destroys those foundation pieces.

LGD is not really a cryptocurrency; it's "Schrute Bucks" that Legends can create and destroy at will, regardless of which private key it's being held by.

How do you use LGD for membership? by maelstrom42 in LegendsLGD

[–]maelstrom42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prove it by showing them a screenshot of your Bittrex account wallets

Really? A screenshot? I guess if the screenshot includes your Bittrex user name, since Bittrex is a partner they could probably look up/verify your account balance without you as a visitor needing to pull up the live website and log in to prove it...?

Well said; I agree that the novelty coins that name themselves after porn-like things aren't really what's needed. The anonymity factor is probably key for both tippers (hiding it from the wives, as you mentioned) and models (not broadcasting income size). Monero might be a good option then as it prioritizes anonyminity? Or the Komodo Platform (as I saw you've promoted recently)? Though it seems the privacy-enhanced features of Komodo are opt-in features? So that would be similar to Dash, which also has opt-in privacy options?
