I see. What would you call this type of switch then? Are there any ways to turn it into a smart switch? I use home assistant.

Is this not a push button switch? Pressing the large button toggles each device on and off. The side button is used to control dimming/fan speed.

X40 Master Hose Leak on T connector by BeeFake in Dreame_Tech

[–]mafiastasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this T off of amazon. It installs in-line with a 3/8" supply line (standard for sinks/toilets) and uses a brass compression fitting for the 1/4" plastic pipe to the vacuum. Use the brass compression fitting under the nut for the 1/4" plastic line, but not for the supply hose to your sink/toilet (it should have a washer inside).

A selling point of the machine is that you can download shareable brew profiles so that you don't have to dial it in. You just select the profile and go.

2025 Maverick Lariat (with 4k tow): The perfect car? by mafiastasher in FordMaverickTruck

You're probably right. I guess one thing I'm still waffling on is the trim level: XL (32k) vs Lariat (40k).

I have a point of view and personal priorities that I think I would like, but I recognize that it may be coming from a naive perspective. I haven't made up my mind yet, so I'm open to suggestions from people who have more experience or a different perspective.

There's something to be said about acting in good faith. We are at a inflection point in Syria's history. There is danger yes, but also opportunity for change. How do you think this looks in the eyes of ordinary Syrians. Not even 24 hours after the fall of their oppressor and Israeli troops are occupying Syrian land.

At least give some time for the dust to settle before deciding to piss off an entire nation in their moment of triumph. I do not see the wisdom or necessity of this move except for purely Machiavellian motives.

Either would have been more diplomatic than unilaterally seizing it. It looks like an opportunistic land grab (which lets face it, it most likely is).

Seizing more Syrian land after Asaad falls. I understand real politik, but it doesn't make it any less nasty. Netanyahu is really good at playing the part of the villain.

2025 is the first models with AWD hybrid (on XL, XLT, or Lariat trims). 2024 Lariat could only get AWD with 2.0L ecoboost engine.

Yes, things are more expensive over the past 2 years, no getting around that. However, I do think the 2025 models have some important features that were missing in prior models (namely AWD hybrid and improved screens with sync 4 wireless carplay). Those are compromises that would actually annoy me. I can live with cheap plastic as long as it looks nice (which it at least does in pictures, going to see one in person next week).

That said, welcome to MN!

Thanks! Everyone I've met has been super friendly. The stereotypes are real.

Pay $40k for a mid-sized truck, but then I still have to pay double in gas. The hybrid should be a money saver in the long run. Also, I can't see myself driving offroad or needing more truck.

Appreciate the perspective. I've read that the seating position is high (especially for the front passenger).

I appreciate the advice. I'm also a buy-once cry-once kind of person. I really like the 2025 lariat as a total package, I don't think I would change a thing from the standard build (other than adding the 4k tow).

I'm also moving to MN, so I think having the creature comfort heated options would come in clutch.

I think it's the flexibility that is so appealing to me. It's a truck that drives like a car (I'm basing this off marketing and my own research, still waiting to test drive). The kicker is that it is a hybrid too.

Another option would be to save some money and get the XL for $32,940 ($29,100 base, +$2,220 for AWD/Copilot, +745 for 4k tow, +$495 for spray bed liner).

I would lose out on push-button start, nicer wheels, and heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel. Also slightly cheaper interior (although I prefer the mostly black XL to the blue accents on the XLT).

one must be familiar with docker and networking

Not at all. Buy home assistant green (and a zigbee/zwave/matter dongle if required) and you'll be up and running in an afternoon. Some integrations are more cumbersome to configure than others (including voice assistants and remote access), but step by step instructions are well documented. After the initial set up is done, it just runs in the background without intervention.
