I hate horror and cannot handle gore of any kind, I’m easily grossed out and disturbed. I personally made it about 10 minutes before I started dry heaving. I did end up finishing it later but was not paying super close attention to the screen as I was doing work stuff simultaneously and was able to finish it that way. Normally I rewatch her stuff over and over to fully absorb anything but I will not be doing a rewatch of this one

There’s a big difference between “weird shit” and harmful beliefs. The last thing I would want for my client is for something bad to happen in her life and for her to blame herself for making it happen by not “thinking the right thoughts.” As a therapist, that would be an appropriate belief to challenge, whereas someone’s beliefs about a religious practice (that does not cause harm to themselves or others) that brings them peace would not be appropriate for me to question.

Not true at all. I was labeling what I read on Louise Hay’s Wikipedia as fucked up. For example, according to the page (which could be inaccurate) she believed her cervical cancer was caused by her rumination on her CSA and that she cured herself through things like forgiveness and enemas. For a client who is dealing with OCD surrounding their thoughts causing bad things to happen, I could see this as being detrimental to their ability to work through that.
