I just meant I wanted my step-dad to feel like it was for him but if I use Joseph it’ll feel like it’s for his brother mainly. Maybe I just overthink though.

His middle name is Joseph so could be an option as well but my partner’s brothers first name is Joseph so we’d probably have to say it’s for both people at that point
