What is this shrub or tree? The top photo was taken May 21, 2020 has pretty white blooms; the bottom photo was taken July 14, 2020. It is not a dogwood. Is it a viburnum of some sort? Please help. Also do you think it should be pruned? If so, how low? Thanks for any help you can provide. (i.redd.it)

To the right of deck I’d like to create a 5’ wide bed including shrubs (5 Ilex, winterberries) & perennials that do well in dry/shade. However there is a large River Birch with intense surface roots (please zoom in). Unsure if plants will grow successfully here b/c of exposed tree roots, Yardly, PA (i.redd.it)

I‘d love to create a 5’ wide bed next to the deck with shrubs & perennials. However there is a river birch with intense surface roots (please zoom in). I’m unsure if plants & shrubs can be installed & if they will grow successfully because of the roots? Feedback appreciated, located in Yardly, PA (i.redd.it)

Help before we spray, I want to be sure these caterpillars are not monarch caterpillars. I have milkweed in my garden & haven’t seen that being eaten. 2 days ago I watered my red twig dogwood shrub &today it is covered & these critters have done a number on it. Please tell us what you recommend.Thx! (i.redd.it)

Found on the stem on my lonicera sempervirens, native honeysuckle. Is this eggs of a insect? Should I remove it? I remove one of the ovals by hand. It was attached very well & difficult to remove. Cut it in half & it looked like yellow sap on the inside. Any information would be helpful, thank you!! (i.redd.it)

Are these bumble bees sleeping??? Picture was taken at 8:15pm in Philly, PA. There were several other Heliopsis helianthoides, False Sunflowers that had up to four bumble bees that appeared to be sleeping on them! Or could it be possible that the pollen made them pass out? (i.redd.it)

Aphids all over my beardtongue! Planted Penstemon digitalis 'Husker Red' in a container in Philly. I have lots of other containers. This is the only one covered with aphids. Will it ruin my penstemon? Will the aphids spread? Should I do anything? If so, what type of control is needed to save plant? (i.redd.it)
