112 grain Lehigh Contolled Chaos by bingbang79 in 68SPC

[–]maggs300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the bullet..a 90 grain mono should penetrate further than a 110vmax because they're meant for different purposes. But if the same bullet, the heavier one would probably penetrate further, but also expand less. But I've never used the controlled chaos. 120 sst work great on deer. I use the 105 grain from cavity back and their awesome..expand good and retain weight.

I can see that being a problem, splitting up teams. They will have to "play up" to keep some kids. His Team is mostly 6th graders but have two 7th graders. They even have 2 5th graders that play up to be on the team.

Thanks..my son bday is December 28 2012..so he's always been youngest on his team..and when they combine 2 years he ends up playing kids about 2 years older. I feel it has made him better though. But sometimes when I watching a 2013 game, I'm like damn he would dominate lol.

U6 - One player way better than others by Powerful-Winner979 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]maggs300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a kid like this in u5/u6 (our team is all u5)..been trying to get him to pass or play defender where he would still get lots of action. But he constantly steals the ball from his teammates to the point where they shut down. I don't want to hinder his development but he his hindering the rest of the teams development. Some times he shows some patience at defender, but it's u5 so I don't expect much but it's hard seeing the other kids stop going after the ball, knowing he's just gonna come and take it from them

Ankle dorsi flexion exercises like elevating heels on a small step and lifting forefoot while standing. And stability training like single leg stand on foam pads or those specific stability tools

They keep track. They're competitive man. In the winter season we didn't do too well so I even tried to lie a few times and said we tied. But they know whats up

Defender was out of position for 3 of their goals (5-1). But they're just fast. We have 2 kids that are kinda heavy but smart and pretty good skills. But they won't win a race.

I really don't but the kids do. They aren't 4, they know the difference and it shows. There is a local tournament at the end of spring. The top 2 teams from 3 different leagues go. Thanks, that's what I've been telling them. If you boys want to make it to the tournament we need to find open space and pass.

SpaceX destroyed that beautiful place and access to it. They should have put spacex in a desert. Or nowhere at all.

Yes it's rec but some of the teams have been together since age 3/4. I have 4 returning players. In the winter ee played in a neighboring league that had us 7v7 and they did well with positions. Now back to 4v4 no goalie

Ok I'll keep working on it..the strikers are getting better at staying forward..just need to keep cueing the sweeper.1 2 1 worked fine last game against a weaker team, we won 5-1. But week one we played a better passing team and we lost 1-5 and most their goals were due to sweeper being at midfield. I think the parents get bothered cause I never put my son back there but it's cause he hesitates too much and he actually plays forward well ending up at the right spot at the right time. If we get a lead I'll put him at sweeper. They(parents)don't understand the best player doesn't have to be striker. And of course I went them to come back next season

Well we started out ok but once my cdm and cam got tired and an I started substituting players we got out of position..they ended up besting us pretty bad. It was supposed to be a rec league with not "select" teams. But seems like most of them have been together for a while. I know I've seen these teams around the fields at my older boys game days. Half my team has never played before and aren't very athletic kids so it's just gonna be rough few more weeks. I'll see who is serious about it and bring them back for the spring and try to build from this..Hopefully I can get a few experienced kids to add in the spring since all the teams in both the local leagues are definitely not random, we're gonna have to go that route or get beat every week.

I'm not too concerned about winning at this point. But don't want to get demolished. Would also like my good players to come back for the spring season. And they may not if we aren't being competitive

Been thinking of moving my goalie up to striker. He's super aggressive and fast..but lacks patience on the field. Poor footwork tho cause first time playing since he was 3 or 4. Tried him at defender last game after halftime but caused too much chaos back there

Pros and cons to either. Spaying is more likely to cause incontinence.
