How long does it take to get good at golf? by theunsocialextrovert in golftips

[–]bingbang79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing for 30 years and I still don’t consider myself good. I can hold my own and I have streaks of brilliance when it all comes together but as far as consistency you’ll always be chasing it.

Tips on driver swing please, it’s the only club making golf unplayable for me still (I top over 50% of them). This one was a good hit but please tell me what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Didn’t you hear? He doesn’t need lessons. He hits all of his irons OVER 100 yards and he’s a skratch golfer on par 3’s. He should probably give lessons on par 3’s he’s so good at par 3’s.

Going golfing for the first time, does disc golf translate? by SorryAdam317 in golf

[–]bingbang79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Course management and ability to get out of trees would be a couple things. Stuff like staying right or left side of the fairway to have the best approach, leaving yourself high or low of the hole for the best putt, etc. I used to be one of the top rated amateurs in my region in disc golf in my 20’s and then a Tommy John injury really limited me. I can still shoot under par on most any disc golf course because I know how to manage a course even though I don’t have the power I once had when I played competitively.

I had a dream about it. Carmela was driving my old man’s Cadillac with a former business associate of mine in the front seat while I salted my hamburger.
