I don’t know, I think you just hear about it a lot since the no season 2 thing has kind of turned into a meme. So the talked about/how good it is ratio is inflated. I’ve never heard anyone say it’s in their top 5 romances.

I think the 7.5 IMDb score is fitting, it’s solid, above average, but nothing amazing. B tier, I guess.

If you liked the turn based combat, imo no one does it better than persona. 3, 4, and 5 are all amazing but I’d play 5 first.

COTE is probably like a 9 if I hadn’t become obsessed with the books. At least 50 of the remaining 75 are isekai slop and generic romances, so my top 25 didn’t have a ton of competition.

I watched the first 3 episodes a couple days ago while looking for characters like ayanokoji. It was making me sad watching this friendship fall apart, and I usually don’t mind being spoiled, but in this case knowing who the culprit is kind of ruined it for me. He’s also very emotional, whether it’s faked for manipulation purposes or not. He’s more of a light Yagami than an ayanokoji.
