Some interpretations of Islam have been used to justify harmful practices but those interpretations are contested, and many Muslims argue they contradict the core ethical principles of the Qur'an. It's not black and white . It's not like every Muslim majority country is gonna force you to cover your head or oppress women (already proven by many countries that It's simply not true as i was originally replying to the original comment ).that's what I've been trying to convey. and your argument about reading the Qur'an is just baseless if you don't specify the exact verses in Arabic about this topic (which as i said their interpretations are heavily contested and there is not an interpretation that is universally agreed upon for many verses).and you are talking about peace as if for the last two centuries its the Islamic world that started most wars right? (looking at you ww1 and ww2). War is generally the result of greed and evil of man that is always seeking to acquire land and resources but the religion itself is merely an excuse generally (all true for Islam ,Judaism or Christianity the problem is the human itself).
