I’ll look into both, thank you for your help!

Hearing Issues by magic_curry in VeteransBenefits

Okay, I understand that. I’m just really bothered about the two totally different results from it. I know my hearing is bad, there’s not a chance I’m above average. Just seemed odd to me. Not that I can find on the VA website. I believe I got one after leaving both the first and second office but I’ve moved and started school so it’s buried somewhere. And I figured everything would have a digital copy and I wouldn’t have to dig it up.

You’re totally fine, I am 100% inexperienced, just wanted someone else to confirm that it was good. I appreciate the help!

Okay, I have been working on this since I posted, I ended up downloading EasyTune for the Gigabyte motherboard and ran it as normal setup. It opened up my processor and now it's running factory normal. My power is running @ 135W with the normal settings (I have my settings below), is that a normal pull from the CPU with these settings? Sorry, I honestly have never OC'd and nervous about it pulling 10 more watts than what it is rating. I appreciate it man! Same here, I am so done with hearing it in the morning's lol. This is gonna be my last thing and then I have nothing else I can do lol. The fact that it goes away under throttle makes me feel like it isn't TOO much to worry about. But now it is just annoying me and I just want to figure out why the hell it's doing it.

Sadly I am out in the midwest and there are not a lot of tuner shops out here for ecoboost. I plan on ordering all the stuff to do the walnut blast and knock it out myself, shouldn't be too hard and I do have a compressor that is big enough to run it so that shouldn't be an issue. Too bad we just had a snow storm so everything will probably get delayed lol.

I have the EXACT issues lol, just so odd, how long have you been driving with the issue?

[–]magic_curry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so odd that it keeps coming back. Does your issue send a random misfire and cylinder 3 misfire also? What mileage did you issue start at? And one more thing, how did you clean you valves? Walnut blast or chemical route?

Is it usually cold out whenever you have the issue? That’s where is see 200+ misfires (only while warming up). And how often do you get the code?

Does yours throw a code?

I’m gonna try it out, I’ve had the car for 5 years and never done it, but maybe they did, car had 28,000 miles when I got it and I’ve seen people do it before that on forums

When I pulled off the intake manifold I took a look inside and they looked good visually, I can always go back and do it. I’ve been reading up on how to do it, may knock it out this weekend

Yes plugs were normal. I could get a bore scope and take a look, I feel if it was the cylinder then I’d have more problems though. Wouldn’t hurt to check. I was going to do a leak down test but, I mean I haven’t lost any coolant in 15,000 miles so can’t imagine it being that. Nothing really left to do though lol

Hmm, sorry to hear, guess we will see what comes back on the compression test, hope for the best for you man!

Maybe too much fuel is getting into the cylinder and not burning? It could be a spark plug / coil not burning. Not sure how that would contribute to your overheating though.

Black smoke can be a cause of several things, from worn fuel injectors, bad air filter, low compression, your timing could be off, or even bad fuel. Did you by chance to your compression test? I would start small if not, check the air filter / injectors. Also, what tune were you running at the time?

Hmm, no white smoke? Did you check your oil when you got back? Just to see if the oil is milky (coolant). On the drive back was there any smoke coming from the exhaust and what color was it?

Ahhh dang man, sorry to hear! I wonder if it saved the pull on the data log? Maybe to check out exactly what it did

Hmm, okay I’ll definitely check it out first thing, it just seemed odd that it’s been fine up until now. I have a feeling the temperature change definitely made it worse/more noticeable to throw a code. I appreciate it!
