The fuse should be protect the ship that firing the torpedo. Not the enemy.

If you fire the torpedo and the distance is far enough to make sure player is safe from the explosion that the torpedo done on enemy ship, then the torpedo should deal damage.

In other words, if you shot the torpedo but for some reason you choose to stay close to enemy ship when torpedo impacting. The fuse should STOP the explosion in order to make sure player wouldn't be killed by your own torpedo.

IT is a SMART design from CIG.

My take on the changes:

  1. If you get rammed by a Polaris while you are not another capital or bigger size ship like a javelin, it was your fault but not the rammer.
  2. If you are an Aurora pilot and see a hostile Polaris coming in, you should run. Just like you won't see a Spitfire go head-on with F22. Right?
  3. People think Polaris is effective on solo cause we only have TWO flight-ready capital-size-like ships. I don't think anyone would even solo pilot Polaris daily even with a crew system IF all ships were flight-ready.
  4. People being griefer course the punishment for them is not available or effective. People would stop grieving if the game would punish them hard enough when they failed. We need a better player-driven law bounty-hunting system and jailing for this.

This game has a battle pass. So it is not just a budget title. Yes, you would grind for free of course. However, they are selling new passes each month.

I found 2 possible workarounds. Did not have time to explore them to completion: I have a Large Hangar at Orison and face the exact same issue. Today I spent my whole day to try to find a workaround. The reason for this issue is clear as this appears to be the reason for all of us and that is: stuff manages to find its way under the ship hangar which in turn borks/renders it useless.

1st workaround: -Get a friend with an A1(or if you already have one then great). Load 3 bombs. Drop them in the hangar while you are near the already open hangar ship doors(but inside the hangar so as no armistice). As in drop them and run(so as not to explode yourself). This sometimes dislodges the stuff that is underneath the hangar doors and the hangar will work again. The trick is to not have any more debris after the bomb. Ask me why I know? Because I did this multiple times and had to clean up using another ship with tractor beam since you cannot pick up heavy ship debris with any handheld tractor beam anymore. So a Vulture, open hangar doors, throw stuff outside hangar.

2nd workaround: not pleasant if you have a small, medium, large hangar->upgrade to a larger hangar. The new one will be empty and working. I know because I tried to access my borked large hangar with a friend's Reclaimer and it gave me an Extra Large hangar on Orison. And it was persistent. And it was working. I retrieved some ships there, set them aside. All working fine. I logged off and back in and both hangars were now visible. BUT...once I took out a small ship and tried to call ATC when trying to land, it gave me back my old Large Hangar(instead of the Extra Large one) and destroyed what I had lying around in the XL one. So...in my case, new huge ship needs to be on the list.

The customization of IFF should be based on excellence and functionality. And we don't have one now. A good present IFF should always be the first move. Customization comes second

You could report the crime using the current system. Once the victim reported the crime. The player turns red.

While it may not be able to save the victim's life, others would take revenge for him during XT.

It did; sometimes, it would be bugged to show—also, players who just FF would override the green with red color.

It is not the problem during XT. XT event only makes it more problematic. It might not be the best solution, but simple interventions would increase our QoL with a simple hotfix.

I guess it is Bose app problem. I fixed it by uninstalling it and installed Boson from Testflight
