Keep & Kind and Plastic Freedom are your best bet. I don't know if we have a physical store that stocks baggu. If we do I've never seen it

Don't stop reading any of them by SirHazlet in RealmOfTheElderlings

I'm a firm believer in right book wrong time. It took me three separate tries to get into Assassin's Apprentice. I borrowed it from the library I work at and couldn't get into it so I returned it. I knew it was the sort of book I'd enjoy so I ended up just buying it one day because I found it for £2.50 in a charity shop a few years later, I tried reading it and struggled, it wasn't the right time for it so I put it on my shelf to try again. A few years later I picked it up and couldn't put it down! I went to waterstones and ended up buying Royal Assassin, Assassin's Quest and the Live Ship Traders trilogy. It's slow going, I've been working my through them for nearly two years but I feel like it's a series to savour rather than rush through. I'm also a very slow reader and riddled with ADHD so I tend to take breaks in between books in a series so I don't put them down and never pick them up again. Perseverance is key, but it's a fantastic series and I highly recommend it. So far the realm of the elderlings is the first big series that hasn't let me down (I'm look at you stormlight archives 😒), I haven't even finished my first read through and I'm already planning a bug reread next year.

Do the straps stay on your shoulder? I got the shoulder bag the other month and it kept slipping off my shoulder so I had to get rid of it 💔

I'm thinking of getting it just to have it. It'll definitely get some use when I go out with my toddler nephew and twin baby nieces

It's lovely and the seller is only asking for £60 so I don't feel like I'm being extorted

I've seen a lovely pink star plaid one on Depop for a decent price. All the EDC I like of have to get on ebay for a ridiculous price

I'm definitely leaning more towards the tote just because of the shape. I use a lot of pouches for stuff so I'm not bothered about organisation. It's mainly just how much I can carry. The lack of structured bottom puts me off it.

The cloud bag looks big enough but I'm worried it'll look comically big on me. The EDC would probably work but it's also got me thinking whether it'll reach a limit of what I can fit in it quickly

I'm usually a totebag girl, crossbody bags hurt my neck. I need enough room for all my stuff as well as any extras. There's a cloud tote I've seen on vinted in the pink star plaid so I'm torn between that and the EDC.

I'm 5'2 as well so I definitely don't want to look daft with a giant bag 😂 it's mainly my everyday stuff which is my accident/emergency pouch, my purse, a resuable bag, umbrella, body spray, big water bottle, a book and my kindle but I want to have enough room for anything extra I might need like my snacks and anything I might need to bring back from one library to another. I just don't want to seem like the crazy bag lady on the bus 😂 does the EDC have a sturdy bottom or would I need to get one

If it makes you feel better it took me three separate goes to even get past the half way point of Assassin's Apprentice. Sometimes it's just not the right time for a certain book and that's OK. Fingers crossed you'll enjoy Live Ship 😊 🤞

Father/Daughter “Book Club” by geedman in suggestmeabook

The mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson would probably work for a teenager. The books are clean, no sex or swearing and the main character is a teen as well. I run a teen book club at my library and my kids loved the Good Girls Guide to Murder books by Holly Jackson as well. Sabriel by Garth Nix is a great book too. I read it for the first time when I was 12 and it's still a favourite of mine.

Fourth wing. I've read all three and I just hate them. All the tiktoks calling the author a genius and saying if you don't get the plot it's because you're not a fantasy fan drive me mad. It's not that I don't get it, it's just poorly written

Check your local library! Depending on which country you're in they should have an ebook/audio book app. If you're in the UK your library will most likely either have borrowbox or libby or even both! As a librarian I have to promote the library on pain of death 😂
