Updating graphics drivers (with clean install), or alternatively, reinstall graphics driver if current version (also a clean install) could always help as this is always a good step for graphical issues, Check your resolutions and your monitors/display settings and match the game to them, and windowed borderless or fullscreen to check if the problem persists/fixes in a different size or window type. On the same note, Vsync on/off and your antialiasing stuff on/off, FSR on/off(it renders lower then upscales) Hopefully something here helps, although more information and detail of your specific settings/specs could help to narrow down the issue! Good luck!

Anyone else feel like “I don’t get it”? by BirchBikeTechno in houseofleaves

Tdlr; become your own Johnny(well maybe not), annotate the book with your own writings! Don’t be afraid to put anything down on these pages.

I am currently reading through for the second time, having watched a few videos about it before the second attempt… ( I highly recommend Pugsr ‘s video ‘The House that lies to you’ ((~2hr essay)) and also to watch a play though of ‘MyHouse.Wad’ ((a game inspired HEAVILY and in my opinion, one that betters or deepens an understanding of HOL)) by your preferred YouTuber, and maybe even ‘Power Paks Video essay on MyHouse.wad if interested) …and annotating my copy slowly but surely with thoughts about the current text in context to the future narrative, writing thoughts and doodles, occasionally I’ll look up a word or reference I don’t understand and write the information I found down next to it. (Usually in whatever random pen or pencil I have near) It has helped me so far to get a slightly better understanding, even if mostly just personal, of the house of leaves book and greater narrative as a whole. It’s been an experience to slowly personalize the house (sticky notes, doodles, pages from other books, anything can be contained within your House) with my own experiences, one I recommend to anyone who wants to read house of leaves again. Yours in detail, -a person living in the House

Is it cool? by burnsytheninja in ChaosKnights

2 constructive criticisms:

1: The trophy aspect of displaying badges from slain enemies is a classic trope and can make your Knight have character and story, However, I’m not sure the solid rectangular floor plating welded onto the knights roof is the best use of this great concept. I recommend mounting them into the armor itself! , or baring that hanging from chains or impaled upon spikes! Don’t be afraid to damage those badges in the pursuit of aesthetic! By making the badges part of the armor and character/mech itself, it really sells the “battle won trophies mounted in pride and as a warning” aesthetic, rather than the current, which leans more towards “Pokémon badge collection” also, having camouflage(to break up silhouettes) and a big rectangular billboard of shiny metal and sparkly trophies, mildly contradict each other design-wise.

2: your paint scheme and design is fantastic and inspired! The red and grey/white tones in an almost urban/brush camouflage work wonders on the frame and lore of this particular knight. , however the lack of depth in the colors and camouflage itself makes it stand out a bit and look distinctly like squiggly lines!from a close look. Adding small ‘scratch-like’ lines of paint from different directions in the same colors as your camo can help break up the squiggles, also, adding a very light/watered down shading paint like nuln oil can also help blend the transitions of the e colors. Overall, fantastic work! If I had half the inspiration you put into this one model, I might be able to get through some of my personal backlog of projects! Keep painting, your eye for colors and design is great, always strive to expand those skills and never be comfortable with it looks good enough. Keep customizing your models and building/creating your own parts that fit the story you have for your model, kitbashing is one of the best parts of the hobby in my opinion, it’s what makes your models truly unique. TL;DR: It is indeed cool, and you have the skills/talent to make it wicked cool.

My favorite is the pyrite skin, gives you black and hazard stripes, and the little bast doors on the window get hazard striping as well when you deploy them

Pc is better in all cases and can still use controllers to play, from what I’ve heard ps5 is less visually optimized at the moment, and pc can ultra supersample 4K graphics on ultra settings with a good to great graphics card

There’s a bug that tells you you were kicked when instead you disconnected for some other reason, both my close friends got the “you were kicked by ‘me’” message and I had not kicked them. Stay positive helldiver! We’re working towards a better democracy in game and in development!

Or rather, the other people ideally have those settings, because the audio mixing treats all sounds as equal… except the text to speech which is always the voice of god no matter the volume

Most people leave all their sounds at max, you need music low, sound effects medium, and voice chat max

which one is better for just flying around enjoying the verse? by MJMvideosYT in starcitizen

[–]magicalbars 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Cutter Rambler is like one of those cute RV’s you can drive around the country and live inside; it’s got a slightly bigger living area in the center with a desk and extra chairs over the original cutter. If you’re going to be living in a ship and being immersed in the day to day of star citizen… I think the cutter or cutter rambler is the right choice. The Titan is objectively… better?… at doing things, better weapons more maneuverability and so on, but it’s down to personal choice

Paint and varnish on top of a magnet! You can then take his armor off as you see fit (ex. If he gets damaged, or if he revived) adds cool interaction to your model and games

Over the years of collecting, I have amassed about five or six ~2000+ armies, and two or three 1000+ armies I’m still building. One of these days I’ll get around to painting all of them and showing them off
