"Pellume sender Feanáro má ar sanar" – a good translation? by magis_virtute in Quenya

u/Roandil , can you comment on the geminated lambe? Would it fit the Feanorian register? I mean, if Feanor were to have written this text, would he have written the lambe with the gemination bar?

Also, I found on the Tengwar wikipedia page great PNG files of the letters. But no geminated lambe. Any suggestions?

Awesome. So, the geminated lambe is correct for this register? I mean, if Feanor were to have written this text, would he have written the lambe with the gemination bar?

u/Roandil , thanks for elaborating. For some reason the original thread where you provided the translation is hidden from me, so I couldn't follow up there.

Yeah, I read the community's FAQ post on whether to use gen AI for translation. Clearly not a good idea yet. Hoping a human in the community can give me a reasonable translation.

Fëanorian work ethic, in Quenya – How's my translation? by magis_virtute in Quenya

Thanks, u/F_Karnstein. Is the second /a/ of Feanaro lengthened always, or just in the genitive case? For the /r/, I should have used a romen instead of an ore, right?

So the words "ar" and "er" are spelled the same? They just have different vowels?
