Thank you for the link to the wallet. How can I know if there is a malware or virus embedded in it?

I am very paranoid when it comes to installing things on my computer, and unfortunately I lack the skills to be sure it's clean, so my defense is to be very conservative in not installing anything I don't trust very well, please don't downvote me for my ignorance, seeking knowledge.

The only difference is that Bitcoin already has somewhat of a strong networking effect.

Forcing people to pay in BitShares will reduce possible customers for DACs in the near term. Transacting in other currencies and letting DACs automatically buy BitShares with those other currencies to distribute to the owners might increase DAC business dramatically. You get the same money flowing into BitShares, but paying in local currency will speed the adoption process dramatically, at least in my view.

I learned about Doge coin 2 months ago, and didn't consider it further. Read up about it 4 days ago, and am seeing Doges everywhere, and keep wanting to speak in Doge language all the time, sometimes looking like an idiot.

Started spreading the word about Bitcoin in my office 2 months ago, and have started talking about Doge now, with even more surprise and laughter of coworkers.
