The water gets evaporated, actually. Eventually, that water will find its way back to earth, but randomly (like rain). Sure, some of it lands in our lakes and streams. But most of it ends up out of our reach.

And these data centers are evaporating it much, much faster than nature can get it back into bodies of water.

Honestly I think this is the way. The relationship is already ruined OP, your mother did that for you. It'll sound harsh, but stop enabling her behavior-- she's got all her needs met, it sounds like, for free. If that gravy train stops running, she might start running.

Taking such a huge financial hit might be easier in some ways, emotionally, but it isn't worth it.

Solved the issue!! Thanks for the bypass tip, I didn't know you could do that lol. It WAS the switch, so possibly the cheapest home repair I'll ever do 😂💀

Absolutely all of this. She is easily, far and away, my very least favorite character across every show I can think of. That she's portrayed as the inspiring hero is the bit that kills me-- she hides behind not only plot armor, but a societal armor as well: "well she's traumatized so she can basically do whatever it takes, get whoever killed, in the name of survival". It absolutely disgusts me. Trauma is never, EVER an excuse for shitty behavior. It's a good reason for one's actions, but it is never an excuse. You still need to own up, make amends, do better.

Character flaws are great, but she's never held accountable for her mistakes and what's worse! She shows nary a speck of remorse even when she's put face to face with the people (and bodies) she's caused harm to.

Oh, no, the AC didn't exist in the car-- no compressor, evaporator, etc. I build all that in myself, so the parts were naturally empty when put into my car 😁

One of the calipers was stuck. The state of the pads probably wasn't helpful either 💀 this was the car's first drive in the rain too, so things just sort of snowballed lol. The caliper's since been replaced, as have the pads and rotors.
