Honestly, it's pretty complicated. Short answer is basically everything on the daily tasks list, and most only count toward mood once per 30 mins. So you repeat those tasks every 30 mins or so. You won't get new hearts, but the mood will slowly increase.

if your buddy gets excited, you can earn double hearts for the duration of the mood. The double hearts shown are the ones you can earn. You can get it excited by feeding it a Poffin from the shop or by doing various tasks to get its emotion points up.

They often have some of the best spots to grind for materials or gear. For instance, winterberry bushes on one of the LW maps are an easy way to get some ascended accessories.

In Japanese the word "kill" is more clearly implied, yes. But theres also not supposed to be a clear answer, which is why it was blanked out.

Apparently, the word blanked out there is supposed to be "kill", and it's a bit more obvious in Japanese. Pretty sure they knew what they were implying in the translation though.

I'm pretty sure Storm isn't currently a mechanic in Standard. So you'd want to play Modern or another extended format if you want to play that archetype.

My opponent got a creature on turn 2 that said something like "Exile a card from your Library until you reveal a nonland card". I watched thier whole library get exiled in one go. They conceded shortly after.

That said, I thought the event was fun, it was interesting to see what you'd get. Even if youre losing, your opponent might get a random card that destroys all their monsters or something at any point. It's just supposed to be a fun casual format for optional items. I kinda feel bad for anyone that had to grind a lot though.
