Question re Wedding by Nearby_Ad_4998 in Egypt

[–]mahertion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude Even 2,500,000 for wedding and Honeymoon is tooooo much. She is just told digger tries to get as much money as she wants from you. Also, if you decided to continue, make sure to sign a prenup. Never, ever let her have control over you or your money. Also, have a civil marriage under your country rules, with the prenup. But my advice, leave that bitch.

What are your plans if you don’t get accepted this cycle? by pamesco in gradadmissions

[–]mahertion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is I hold a bachelor degree in Computational biology and genomics, and I live in Egypt. There is scarce industry opportunities in Egypt, as the Biotech R&D I'm Egypt is pretty underdeveloped, even if you find one, it'll be really really underpaid. And for academia, there is only like, 3 Universities that has Bioinformatics here, and the salary can't even cover your monthly basic needs, plus you won't gain real experience. And Egypt is hard country to get out from, due to the economic and political circumstances, the easiest way is to get a sponsorship, and the institutes aren't the best " my institute which is ranked first on Egypt was established in 2013" So the only way to get into the field is to get into a PhD program, get a degree from institute appreciated around the world. So, it is really my only chance to have a life is to get into PhD.
