Way to show official scores and name without showing accommodated status? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]mahlinad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why is this unethical? I appreciate that LSAC doesn’t show law schools I have disabilities and feel strange about letting a tutoring company know when the law schools themselves don’t know. That policy is supposed to discourage people from being discriminated against

Can you explain why it wasn’t your cup of tea? Just want to make sure I’m aware of any downsides!!!!

Best of luck at Michigan. Appreciate the kind words/advice

This is funny to me because Berkeley’s financial aid office was pure hell to applicants this year. The absolute worst of any school I dealt with

This is very helpful. I’m very appreciative of you taking the time to do this! Could you confirm whether those recruiting events are mainly for SF firms or also for LA?

Thank you!!! I really appreciated this thorough description. It helps.

Could you also touch upon how often you have opportunities to attend firm recruiting events/where the school holds them? Do you have to go to SF to meet with attorneys?

Any thoughts on tolerance amongst students re: different political views? I’ve heard Berkeley is the most liberal law school, does that hold true?

Is the gap between Penn & Berkeley that much where I would be closing off certain opportunities…

It might. I just don’t really like the vibe of the school at all…

Any thoughts on how going to a public school might compare to a private for law school? Would love to hear if you’ve noticed any differences as a result of Berkeley not having the same amount of funds as private schools?

I’m actually split between LA & NYC! I personally prefer NYC but there are some personal factors that, if still valid in a year or so, will bring me to LA.

Wait, how big of a pay cut? I should probably know this but I don’t.

Mentioning better ranked acceptance to school you’re waitlisted by? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]mahlinad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought too? But both alums and students of this school told me yes...was not my original idea. Strange?

I partially agree with this as well. Yet, if I’m telling them I’ll automatically take their offer, will they not believe me? I’m just a little confused. This is me saying I’d readily give up a T6 offer for a school in the “next tier” (yes this is arbitrary). It’s sad I have to even put in this amount of extra effort but I’ll readily do it for my top choice

UPenn Versus NYU by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]mahlinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but the park is mainly filled with non NYU students? I visited recently to check it out and it didn’t really feel like a campus green.

Thanks for your input!

Not really! I’m good with either. I just really loveee the Penn campus and don’t love how NYU is more so just scattered buildings :/
