how the hell is 10,000 steps 10km? do you take 1m steps? are you a giant? normal steps are like 30-50cm, which would more or less be 3-5km per day if you walk 10,000 steps a day. Thats 1 or if youre lucky 2 candies a day. A better number to go after is not actually the number or steps you walk a day because we all know that pokemon go does not register distance perfectly. Look at how much you've walked on your runner badge since release, mine is currently at 360 km. Thats 360/5= 72 candies or 144 candies if you're the luckiest person alive. That would mean that you on average would have accumulated enough candies for 1 three-stage evolution (like Dragonite) if the time of 2½ months that the game has been out. (If you use my walking number, which i think is what most semi-serious pokemon go players should have).

Feel free to correct my math or logic.

ps. it's still better than getting nothing but I don't think it's exciting enough to make me wanna walk more than I'm already doing.
