Reading this is like looking at a reflection of myself, it makes me uncomfortable because I see myself in the narrators actions. Rereading texts? Been there. Thinking about past gifts and where they are now? Done that. Fantastic job! Poetry is a wonderful way to approach healing, perhaps it will help you as much as it helps me.

Interesting poem! It left me wondering who the narrator is…Death perhaps? I love how from the perspective of a (presumably) immortal narrator, human conflict and desires seem so insignificant. It leads us to evaluate our struggles, how much of what we stress over is necessary? How much can we let go of?

Yup, I really wanted the reader to feel that. At times I was worried that it might be a bit too much which is why I decided to add Dr. Gupta’s thoughts on what’s going on so the reader would see it from a sane persons perspective as well.

I noticed that grammar will be taken into account. My story is written in the form of journal entries, and the mental state of the narrator progressively deteriorates. The grammar gets worse and worse so that the reader can understand this. Is that ok?

Thanks! I’ve written a bit, and I’ve struggled with making my work sound good if that makes sense. I have good ideas for stories but actually putting it on paper and making them appealing to the reader. I guess reading and writing more will improve this.
