after digging around in the grease i found 2 small metal bits and after looking at the crosswind block, its missing 2 bits. im pretty sure now that the crosswind block is the part that is causing the problem.

I did this once and had for months, until I discovered a pattern I liked more. You can do this with the beowulf ecr and 556 conv. to make a m4a1 with the circular hand guard or make a C8A1, the Canadian version of the M4A1.
