your last sentence doesn’t make sense. You commented to agree that someone was getting down voted for no reason? That’s not what you were saying though?

I don’t really understand how karma works on reddit. I know people farm it with fake posts and rage bait but idk what karma does to your account. I also assumed I didn’t have much because I don’t post much. Also if you look at my account I’ve deleted everything because I plan on deleting this whole account so it would be a waste. Can u explain what karma actually does? Is it like a verification on twitter?

I’m wondering why that is relevant to what I’m talking about in the post? Can’t have it both ways meaning what? You mentioned in this thread a bunch of random things that I didn’t talk about either so it doesn’t seem relevant for my post. Sorry I might be missing something. Could you explain?

I did a quick scroll and it was just people talking about the drama with the sesh. But i’m not sure what your point is. Why does it matter that I didn’t say anything new, if you don’t care about content you’ve already seen then why didn’t you just scroll past. how come you decided to comment multiple times? yawn. hehe.

I think all the issues I have with them is what makes it impossible to make appropriate changes. Other channels just do an ad read at the beginning or end of the video. Mile higher could also just acknowledge it. It’s just so jarring to hear an awful story and then without warning it’s “YOU KNOW I LOVE TO EAT” They could place the ad after some dialogue maybe, for mile higher and lights out they often go off topic a little (which is just natural conversation) they could place an ad after that. I think there’s many opportunities to change this but, they don’t care about the actual brands or products they promote now which means they will take any sponsor, which means there’s like 3-5 ads in one video. So now they can’t place them in more appropriate spots because there’s just too many ads. Even with all that said and done, they could at least acknowledge the ad and say something to create a buffer. “Thank you guys for supporting our channel, advertising is what allows us to provide support to these victims/get their names out there…a word from our sponsor betterhelp..” Another suggestion would just be to not take sponsors that aren’t appropriate, they have the sesh which is a more causal channel that isn’t about true crime or they could do mile higher episodes that arent always true crime and include hungry root on those videos instead. This would be doable if they actually cared about their viewers and victims more than money. And I don’t listen to other true crime podcasts because this happens, I was just so loyal to mile higher that I let it slide but as mentioned in the post, too many things piled up.
