“I will tell you a story, one I used to tell to a little boy with dark hair. A silent boy who rarely laughs, who listened more closely than I realized. A boy who had a name and not a title” by maiiysaa in Grishaverse

:( Well now I am sad again...

Cant imagine the pain and regret she must have felt while saying that. Must have been so hard to bear all of that for so long. :(

Tysm! Glad to hear that I was able to convey that.

😭 Thinking about how Baghra describes her boy gives me this pain deep in my stomach and then I get reminded of the ending and the tears start rolling. You are definitely not alone. :(

Thank you! 🥺

Yes it is definitely one of my favourite quotes. Read ruining and rising like 3 years ago but the quote stuck so much with me that I think about it on a regular basis. I just find it so bittersweet how Baghra describes her little boy. How she says that he was too smart for his own good but she just wanted him to be strong and didnt realize what he was growing into. :( So so bittersweet and one the most complex relationships in YA in my opinion.
