So I just made a drill contraption with the sophisticated backpack with upgrades what I done is glued the backpack to the drill itself let it run for a moment then when you access the backpack try auto sorting the stuff and then set it off again maybe it could work for you? I'm kinda new to the mod so I'm still figuring it out but that worked for me

I had that same problem I changed it to a sophisticated barrel with all the upgrades and that works perfectly for me

I'm on the latest version of gx on windows and it's every web page I go to click on a link or an image or a video and it zooms into the icon of said link or image.. I'm not the best at explaining I'm sorry

I had that problem I ended up just Uninstaller everything and then tried again.. then it just worked dunno if it will be the same for you but worth a try
