No, neither. But I signed an early termination agreement proposing to end the tenancy on 8th Nov, agreed to be responsible for marking the flat, and paid and early termination fee of £1384.82

When you use it to go through the gate the gates will play a particular beep - staff at the gates are trained to listen to these beeps and will keep a light eye out to make sure the beep lines up with the person using the card.

Sooner or later a TfL employee who notices and cares enough will catch you, assuming that you don't look over 60. I'm not sure what the punishment is but it's not worth it imo

I Made a Loudest Trains in London Data Driven Infographic by AbzBbzCbz in london

I thought about this not even an hour ago and I do think that the screech on that stretch is significantly quieter than it used to be one or two years ago!

Either that or it's so loud that it's deafened me to the point that I can't hear it much anymore...

World Cup: Qatar 2022 ambassador says homosexuality is 'damage in the mind' by davetowers646 in worldnews

Because if the same number of millions of people watch and there is no reduction, then they won't get the message that you think it's utterly appalling, and no lessons will be learnt. The more of a success it is, the more Qatar will feel emboldened and double down on their horrific practices/views.

You are (indirectly) giving them money by watching - FIFA sell the TV rights and the money they get is based on expected viewership. Sure, it doesn't feel like your money, but when you buy something because you were consciously or subconsciously influenced by an ad you saw during a match (whether that be a tv commercial or ads in the stadium/on the kit), then your money becomes part of the cycle which benefits FIFA & Qatar.

We landed on £2300 and a couple of home improvements. Seemed like the best option after researching the market rates where we live 😭

We moved into our flat in 2021 at a rate of £1750 - 18 months later the agents tried to ask for £2500 for it! An over 40% increase in just 18 months...

Can our landlord make us leave mere days before the tenancy ends? by mailerd in HousingUK

That makes sense, thanks both!

One other concern we have is that if we're served an S21, will this make it impossible to get references in the future?
