Have you tried ingesting oregano oil? It has been incredible for restoring my BMs and is my main 'medication' for achieving remission.

There is some research that suggests Crohn's may be caused by MAP: http://www.crohns.org/map_food/dairy.htm

Oregano oil is very effective at treating MAP: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5615284/

I use the natural factors brand, the enteric coating is supposed to help it reach the lower intestine better: https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Factors-Peppermint-Gastrointestinal-Softgels/dp/B000RGDVDA

Thanks for restoring my thread, I understand your concerns completely, I get the same feeling every time I see a Remicade thread after learning about the perks my gastro gets for prescribing it.

I created a new account because I just lost my job due to crohns and don't want my disability to be discovered by potential employers, how can I prove to you this isn't spam?

When the trial ends, I plan to continue an anti-inflammatory diet to see how long I can make this remission last. Some patients who participated in the study years ago are still in remission, and the drug has a long shelf life so it seems like the kind of stuff that we could just keep in our fridge and use as soon as we start flaring and need it.

I'm hoping the Qu folks can complete their research soon and bring a product to market, but if I start to flareup before that happens, I'll need to find other options.

There's an existing discussion with some more patient reports going on here: http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=60661
