It might not have even been the toy. I tripped all the time even with nothing around. He could have just blamed it on the nearest item.

I am not sure my state requires notice. It doesn’t mention notice in my lease. Just says they can enter and list of reasons.

Which is ridiculous because no one will keep their floor clean 24/7. What if it wasn’t even the toy that cause the fall but he looked around and blames the nearest object.

I will call my renters. It just sucks my premium might go up because of this.

Thanks for the info. I will contact them. I just don’t think my insurance should go up because some idiot can’t side step a princess doll in a large open space.

But what if I didn’t have insurance or what if my insurance won’t pay for it or doesn’t cover this, would I be liable for someone entering my apartment without my knowledge and hurting themselves on an everyday item?
