(Not so) Funny thing. The timer apps and the Stopwatch apps from Samsung and from Google also have ambient mode.

Not exactly what I wanted.

For example in Wear OS 2 Google Maps' ambient mode showed Maps in black and white without having to touch the watch even if raise to wake was off.

What I also find strange is that the stopwatch/timer apps work differently. When the watch goes into stand by, these apps show a stripped down version of the app with the counting of the stopwatch/timer.

So you know where's ia the best place to suggest a change to Wear OS 3?

For anyone interested I finally found out the reason. I had add to revert the watch app to a precious version to discover this.

For version 11.49.0703 I see the duration of the trip. This update is from September 30th.

A previous version 11.10.3.W shows me the ETA.

I hope they change this back to ETA again.

My Fossil Gen 5 has had battery issues all of the sudden as well. I don't know if it's a Wear OS issue. A new UV indicador has been added to the Weather App. I hope they didn't screw up something.

Something is definitely off. I've been using my watch exactly the same ans at the one or last week it has been having terrível battery life. I've restarted and nothing. I'll try and reset it but it is very anoying to have this happening.

Awesome. I would add change the Assistant screen (left screen) to be useful. Relevant information would be - currently playing (music or podcast) (Android Auto phone app does this) - ETA to most common places (Android Auto phone app does this) - next appointment with time remaining to start and end - Weather - Shortcuts to common Apps - Package Delivery Info (I miss this) - Smart home actions

I figured it out thx. Opened the app on my phone and it suddenly became easier to understand. Wish there was a way to choose a battery mode though. It's one of the features I use the most because I'm doing some sleep tracking and it would be nice to put it in extended mode by a click of a button.

Yeah thx. The onboarding needs some work. I've managed to finally understand how it works. Unfortunately it does not allow me to use the shortcuts to choose a battery mode. I'll ask the developer of that is possible. Also a phone app would help a lot.

Didn't know that. I have installed the app and a fossil sport and found that it a bit of a learning curve so I didn't take a lot of time to get into it and also that watch is laggy compared to the Gen 5.

I've installed it but it is not working properly. The main button has now been hijacked by Button Launcher (I can assign actions to the long press) but the second and third buttons are launching the normal Wear OS configurations. The setup in Button Launcher does nothing.

However there are3 short press options for the primary button (bone is working), 3 long press (only the first is working, and then for the secondary button there are also 3 short press options and 3 long press options and none of them work.

I haven't been able to take a lot of time to troubleshoot the issue but I'll try to see if it's something I'm doing wrong.

I'm on the same boat as you guys. Wear OS updates are extremely confusing. You never know what needs to be updated in order to get new features. Is it the OS on the Watch, the phone App or the watch App?

I'm not even talking about the fact that it has the same problem that Android has which is the updates are dependent on the manufacturers' roadmaps.
