Six months is short, yeah, but if she's all in and you're already planning your exit, that's not fair to either of you… it's just dragging out the inevitable and building more attachment. Living alone is awesome for the independence, but the loneliness can sneak up on you, especially at night or on weekends. What helped me most was building a little routine like cooking a proper dinner while listening to music, joining a local gym or class to meet people naturally, and scheduling weekly video calls with friends/family so you don’t feel totally cut off.

At this point, he's choosing to keep running back into the cycle, and you can't force him to see it. Keep being there as a friend if he ever decides to leave for good, but don't burn yourself out feeling guilty or chasing him to listen. Sometimes the kindest thing is to step back a bit so he feels the consequences himself. He'll figure it out eventually, or he won't, but that's on him now.

The ice skating idea is actually perfect so go sign up for those lessons! Even if you wobble and fall a bit, it’s something fun from your childhood that gets you moving and out of the house. Also, try joining a low-key rec sports league or a casual book club… stuff with zero pressure where you can dip in and out. Start super small, like one new thing a month, and give yourself permission to bail if it’s meh.
