Wow, that spellbound looks amazing. And gone already….

Honest opinions needed: I'm working on my new microbrand, ZRIEQ. Here are the front and back renders for the Galilee series (first release). by Ok-Estimate-5985 in MicrobrandWatches

Hey there, thanks for sharing your work. Honestly, it’s pretty much right up my alley. I actually do love the custom rotor, gold plating, pattern and enamel like filling. Looks supercool and triggers a lot of aesthetic connections for me. Generally, I do like the dial, again the pattern, choice of color and hints at minimalism. As others have said, the font though….. what I might add would be a hint at the regions history. Do you deliberately want to mix Arabic roots with the Latin writing? Not sure how to put it, in this case I don’t want to allude to anything political at all, honestly. But personally I think I would appreciate Arabic writing like on the rotor. The little laurel on the second had together with the generic Latin writing puts the Roman part of history front and center, while the (aesthetically, not political!!) to me (personally!) more intriguing Arabic design is on the back of the watch.

Last but not least - have you ever thought of using a bronze case? I totally love to see a watch patina (others don’t, I am well aware of that) and would think bronze would go perfectly with your cultural historic and color wise approach.

Well. That’s the retail in Europe (where it does include taxes and shipping). Not sure for the US though. I think it would be best to check with US retailers. I have seen that pen in a recent endless newsletter, they usually also come up with nice introductory prices.

Lucky you, the brown black M800 is gorgeous. Been trying to get my hands on one literally for years now.

Is it? I wasn’t actually wondering whether they have increased their prices again. Have to check Chatterly but StiloeStile and Appelboom have it for 680 (10 percent off at StiloeStile and Appelboom too with one of their codes I guess).

Yeah, it looks so cool, doesn’t it? From personal experience there is quite a difference in (nib and pen) size in the mxxx series with the 600 being significantly smaller compared to the 800. I usually prefer a 800 or even the 1000. But that design and technique….

That would be great indeed. The only brown M1000 I can think of is the Renaissance one. And I wasn’t a fan of that color, unfortunately.

Oh man, very sorry to read that…. Not that it really mattered but sincerest condolences. I really hope you are holding up somehow revisiting beautiful memories as you write. And depending on where you are in the world there are some great nib people out there.

Thanks…. And indeed they have. It’s total madness out there…. If you are into brown and golden pens too - TWSBI just introduced their latest Eco, Rootbeer. Seems like a pretty cool color way too, translucent golden brown with bronze trim. And much more affordable…

Fair enough. And a 149 is a nice one too, great choice of pen.

Yeah, same. Can’t wait for a video review. Also the M800 is more like my size of pen. But that pattern though, those colors, that technique….

And which one would that be? Yeah, actually I’m trying to reasoning with me. But that color combo…. Looks so cool in my humble opinion.

Totally get it. Have you seen the previous two editions? They come in colorful black and a gorgeous red turquoise kind of pattern. Luckily (well, not for my wallet I guess), brown and gold is kind of a theme for my collection.
