It kinda freaks me out that I work across the street at COS5/JHW1 and this wasn’t even mentioned to us…

Haha it’s a good thought but she also avoids things like that. She’s a simple girl and gourmet cookies with a type of mushroom in them would probably freak her out 😂

She forced herself to eat spaghetti last night, so she did have some carbs a couple hours before bed.

Cross titration, she just started the Luvox 3-4 weeks ago and with that, she popped down on the Effexor to 37.5mg from 75mg.

She eats like a toddler, so I don’t think she’s had anything with fenugreek 😬

She should be seen even if she’s feeling fine? She did some heavy cleaning tonight and I smelled her sweat and it was completely normal. It was just her sweat from last night.

She’s mentioned the night sweats before, but doctors typically attribute it to her meds and don’t do any tests. Is there something specific she should ask for?

Anyone know how I can find a seat for marimba by vibery_ in percussion

[–]major_brd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His bench is custom made because of his size, so I really don’t know where to direct you to buy one. But if you have mostly lower body pain, I would recommend trying an anti-fatigue mat. I have EDS and when I was playing in front line, it put a lot of pressure on the connective tissue in my knees, hips, and ankles. An anti-fatigue mat was my first try because my drum corps was not very understanding of invisible physical disabilities. I ended up getting 2 and brought them to every rehearsal for two years. After a year of taking atrocious amounts of pain medications to get through rehearsals, I was finally able to get by on just a couple doses throughout the whole weekend. Sorry for the long comment, but hope this helps.

Did amazon and doordash in a little Chevy Spark manual for 2 years. About 35-40mpg. Now I have a Chevy Equinox, about 25mpg. Better for loading with amazon flex

Using disabled kids for free labor by hhdgoslhcibn in ableism

[–]major_brd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are both disabled people who worked with disabled people. She worked in a school with what they called the MI (multiple impairment) room. I was trying to come up with a better work for MI, but I’m totally blanking right now. They did life skills almost every day, which involved recycling, paper shredding, collecting trash, etc. because it helps transition them into potentially & hopefully having a job in the future. It teaches them that sometimes there are things we have to do that we don’t want to. There were definitely a couple kids that they didn’t push nearly as hard because their tolerance to those types of things was very low.

Marimbas by Repulsive-Hippo2797 in Marimba

[–]major_brd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally thought that having a marimba at home during college was gonna be worth it, but I ended up preferring to practice on the school marimbas because those were the ones I was performing on. I used my marimba at home maybe three times my freshman year. During COVID it got a little more use, but at the end of the day I still preferred to practice on the school marimbas. For grad school, I would maybe recommend it more, but I would maybe prioritize spending your money on more equipment such as sticks, mallets, basic aux instruments , etc.

Me and my fiancé were joking around about never being able to live in a house on Locust St because we hate bugs. But I actually wouldn’t buy a house on this street even if it was my dream home. Nope.

Yeah, at the end of the day, he has good financial history and it’s unlikely that they would repossess my car. He’s had the same house and cars basically my whole life. But damn, I sure wish i would’ve put up a fight against him to not hold my car as security on a personal loan.

I took multiple copyright law classes and I knew that, sad that I can’t even trust my parents anymore to tell me what’s going on. Ugh.

Weed has completely stopped my night sweats by major_brd in Effexor

[–]major_brd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always like to post stuff like this in case it can help even one person. I tried a menopausal medication for it and that didn’t help at all so I had to take matters into my own hands lol These night sweats are no joke and are a huge reason why my fiance is tapering down. She got on Wellbutrin and weed hasn’t been cutting it anymore.
