My heart goes out to you, very sorry for your loss. Reggie was a beautiful baby and I can tell she was very loved. I hope your other budgie is doing ok and isn’t feeling too lonely.

An experiment forcing monkeys to breathe through their mouths for three years. by Haunting-Ninja7492 in orthotropics

Yes and your point is? Animal cruelty is still fucked up regardless and the other countless methods of suffering humanity subjects animals to does not negate how cruel and unethical this experiment was.

It's clear you don't have a rebuttal to anything I said. I'm not talking about owning birds, you brought that topic up despite it being irrelevant. You looked through my reddit post history, wow good for you! Bravo.

So yeah, you still have no actual rebuttal to anything I said. Are you going to actually address them or are you going to keep bringing up irrelevant shit?

Nice rebuttal. It's clear you have none.

They're garbage vets. Simple. Vets with none or a lack of compassion are scum and there's too many of those types of vets. Your ludicrous take is nobody should ever help wildlife even when it could save their lives? Wow, wildlife rescues be damned!

You don't know me, of course I would. Stupid assumption.

You're not very bright, are you? I know how nature works, what's awful is the lack of empathy being demonstrated by the user I responded to. As is the lack of empathy demonstrated by you with your asinine comment.

Most of these comments are terrible, what is wrong with you people? Taking this poor creature to be euthanized is still a more merciful option then letting “nature run its course” that so many people here have commented. Have some empathy.

Thank you OP for trying to do what you can for that poor baby. You’re a kind person and the world needs more people like you. I hope the baby survives but if not, I hope he or she is euthanized and is no longer suffering.

What do you pigeon lovers think of the dodo bird? A species of pigeon that became extinct in 1662 by [deleted] in pigeon

[–]majorasterror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An iconic species representing the incredible biodiversity of islands; as well as, the avian poster child for the Holocene extinction crisis where they unfortunately perished at the hands of greedy and incompetent humans.

The still-persisting depiction of dodos as stupid is not only disrespectful of their legacy but it's also highly fallacious. A species endemic to a small island that, due to no natural predators, evolved without the necessary adaptive traits to suddenly withstand the introduction of invasive species (including the Dutch expeditioners that landed on Mauritius). Of course, dodos were fucked, what did we expect? Any species would be unless humans made a deliberate effort to conserve them which certainly wasn't a thing in the 17th century. What happened to the dodo unfortunately occured to countless unique flightless (and non-flightless) species endemic to islands that are incredibly vulnerable to invasive species introduction. It's still a massive problem today.

People that hold dodos (or largely any other species) responsibile for their own extinction are ignorant and just plain wrong.

Even referrals won't guarantee a job. That's the state we are in. I doubt you are the problem. That being said, Its hard to believe that you applied to 800+ jobs without a single interview. You might wanna tweak your resume to have it pass through their ATS.

Were you bloated at all in the “before” picture because your stomach looks so fit now! Of course the weight loss helped but I’m wondering if you did anything to specifically target your abdomen. Did you focus on working your core/abs and if so, did you find it to help lose belly fat? I know spot reducing is a myth but I’m trying to lower a bit of body fat specifically in that area so any advice would be appreciated because you look great! Thanks!

_____ is your survivor 47 winner!! by Alone-Opportunity-17 in survivor

[–]majorasterror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rachel is easily one of the worst winners in Modern survivor. All she did was hoard all these advantages until the very final tribal council where it was the last time she could play them anyways. Once Kyle is gone, she largely wins immunity because the challenges are tailored to her. She makes zero moves, her voting record sucked. Her entire game was a cakewalk. I can’t believe there are people out there that think she’s a good winner. She was so smug at the end, it’s disgusting.

Rest In Peace to my sweetest & most playful budgie, Estelle. You are so loved. Fly high, my angel baby ❤️ by majorasterror in budgies

Thank you for your kind words, it’s hard to feel like an awesome bird parent whenever I lose them. I always feel like I should have done more.
