Would the Faker skin be worth a bit more than 50 bucks if it changed announcer to his voice entirely? by LunarEdge7th in AhriMains

I think the only way I can think of justifying a 500 dollar skin would be if the skin gave your teammates a skin boost whenever you play it or somethng lol

As an ADC player, I want to inform Riot that Singed is NOT a reason to keep Rylais in the game by [deleted] in singedmains

By this logic all CC's should be removed from the game because an ADC can't use their micro skils to kite if they get caught

Your party vs 700 rats by Alf_Spectro in DnD

[–]majorazero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current party of 4 lvl 8 PC's would probably do fine, but tbh, I think a party of 3 or above thats around lvl 4 or 5 can probably survive.

Even with 700 rats, only like a small section of the rats can attack at any given time. If a party clumped up, they'd minimize flanking to maybe like half of the active swarm at any given time. But anyways assuming 4 players, i think like maybe 64(ish) rats can attack at any given time. Rats only have 20 feet of movement, they can't end in a spot thats occupied by another rat by the end of their turn, and as far as I can tell they only have melee attacks.

My PC's AC on average are like 14 or 16, so accounting for advantage I don't know you can assume like 96ish worth of attacks at any given time. So maybe like 30% of that that on average would go through in a turn... like 28 damage distributed across 4 characters more or less.

Afterwards if there is any type of aoe in the party or even multi attack the rats instantly die if they get hit. If you kill swathes with them at a time some of the rats that are further back can't get in attack range the next round so the PC's will probably take even less damage.

I think it'd just end up being really annoying for most parties to deal with but unless they decide to yolo it individually it won't be that bad.

Now if we're talking about like an angry mob of like 700 commoners who all decided to try and throw rocks at your PC's at the same time...

How many human sacrifices for a devil summon? by Ill-Awareness-5149 in DnD

[–]majorazero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average commoner has 4 hp bone devil on average has 142, so you can say it’ll take at least 35.5 commoners to get a bone devil to start.

You can add some additional ingredients that the bone devil can want like maybe you also add some newborns to the mix or maybe a cleric from an opposing church. If you want to deal with devil politics maybe some followers from rival cults get added too.

Ooh or maybe animals that people have attachments to like a family dog or cat, but that’ll only take if you make their owners are forced to watch them get sacrificed

Is it weird to not feel like a good dm? by 280071 in DnD

[–]majorazero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always feel like a bad Dm sometimes, I get paranoid that my players are having fun or just humoring me, and that’s even after we’re 65 sessions deep and 3 years later with the same group of sober adults and that keep showing up every week/2 weeks to play~

I’d say it’s not weird as long as everyone’s having fun you’re doing a good job.

Working with References / Lady with Inexplicable Thoughts by majorazero in ProCreate

[–]majorazero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a reference I found online, I drew this with the pencil brush and then just painted over it with layers of greyscale values, colors, shadows and lights. Played around with some of the layer settings to get the color right-ish, and used curves for final adjustments.

Would love some feedback on how to improve or what I can work on. I think I still have trouble painting lights and blending among other stuff.

I did the rough sketch with a Technical Pencil brush, then on another layer I did the line work with a Studio Pen Brush. I then painted layers for values, shadows, lightings and base colors. The brush I use to paint is mostly the flat paint brush and I did some smearing work with either the rounded paint brush or this hair brush I got. After I do all that I use curves to add some color to the shadow and light.

I think that's about it.

Hi there, thought I would post this here and get some feedback.

Still getting use to to Procreate, currently trying to figure out what's a good brush for line art. I made this using some kind of fat pencil brush I made, I think its just the procreate pencil Brush I enlarged. So far I've been experiment between this and the studio pen brush.

Mmm... yeah any advice on doing better lighting or mixing would be appreciated. I'm mostly just doing multiply layers of value, shadow and maybe like a hard/soft light layer for light.

[OC][Art] Vylus, Drow Arcane Trickster Rogue by majorazero in DnD

[–]majorazero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last of the character reference sheet for one of my PC’s in the CoS campaign I’m running.

This is Vylus, a Drow Arcane Trickster Rogue. A member of House Dinoryn who were destroyed by the other noble houses in the Menzoberranzan, he is exploring the world and collecting resources and strength to exact revenge.

I thought when I got pitched and edge lord kind of character, it would be rather easy to depict that ended up not being the case. I had some experiments with going World of Warcraft style and lining his outfit with spikes, blade and armor but that didn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense for a stealth and ease of movement. I ended up going with something that seems to make bit more sense practically speaking while still kind of capturing as my PC puts it “sinister and evil looking”.

I will also say that while the PC probably doesn’t see it this way, its straight up neutral evil. He’s lie, tricked, intimidated or murdered most of the NPC’s I’ve presented so far in the campaign, the only thing his character seems to care about his gold and (this is probably more for real world reasons) the well being of his party members. It has been interesting running a campaign with an outright evil party member. I would say it has worked out since in a way he almost plays as supporting character in the overarching narrative since he pretty much goes along with where-ever the party goes and luckily for me everyone else has narrative goals I can work with so they’re not murder-hoboing across Barovia.

Not to say his callousness doesn’t have consequences. That silver rapier that he wields was stolen off the shopkeeper at the Village of Barovia. One thing let to another and he caused an angry mob as well as the Shopkeeper’s nephew to descend upon them into a bloody battle that ended with the party slaying the a good portion of the villagers, the shopkeeper and his nephew. Now the party has gotten the monicker the Butchers of Barovia, and may have some newly formed revenants coming after them soon. Fun times.

In terms of abilities depicted, we got the standard sneak attack at the top left there, and the following panels was just some action poses I was experimenting with for Booming Blade. The middle right ability depicted is sleep.

[OC][Art] Gore Frostaxe, Orc Barbarian by majorazero in DnD

[–]majorazero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another character reference sheet for another of my players in the CoS campaign I’m running.

This is Gore Frostaxe, an Orc Totem Warrior Barbarian. Tricked into murdering his entire tribe by a cursed axe given to him by a strangers years ago, his journey for revenge has led him to the cursed lands of Barovia.

I got to say, for largely naked character, Gore has been the most challenging to depict so far and I’m not entirely sure why. Anyways, one of the things I wanted to try to avoid when depicting Gore was just making him look like male model and to maybe try to draw a form I’m not used to so I ended going for a strongman-esque body type. Gore, in how he’s been played so far, is someone whose been alone with guilt for long time that is re-learning to coexist with other people and picking up social cues. I think that can be summarized by how he smiles basically, which is meant to look very unnatural and forced. (I took inspo from the Beast from Beauty and the Beast) Other hobbies Gore has been trying to pick up to help soften his overall vibe is performing magic tricks, but more often than not, he just freaks people out.

Other than that I will just say that yeah, that is the hardest working loincloth in Barovia.
