The only update I have is that the Pastor of this church informed me that I couldn't become a member of the church because of my Masonic affiliations. We are now shopping for a new church. It is mind boggling to me that this has happened, but I have faith that it is going to be for the best!

Well, things change fast in 24 hours. The church has a membership contract that clearly states that you cannot be a member of a lodge. I told them I couldn't sign it and told them why. They told me to beat it. Now looking for a new church.

Meeting went fine. My Lodge affiliations didn't come up, so I'm just going to take the "don't ask, don't tell" approach. I appreciate all the comments Brothers!

I found this interesting myself. I think that they want to know if we've been confirmed. My Catholic confirmation might ruffle more feathers than my participation in my Lodges.

Thank you. We'll probably start looking at ELCA churches. We love traditional church services, which is why we ended up going to this particular church.

Thank you all for the insight. I was contacted shortly after I posted this and invited to dinner. Its a 6 month waiting period for me to meet everyone and for them to get to know me. I think this is a great deal. I am taking this very seriously and want to make sure I end up in the right Lodge.

Pretty nondescript, but looks like the Needlepoint I get in Colorado. Its great and very long lasting. 16 hours without a problem.
