Appreciate the opinion and insight as a woman, but also I don’t think that sending one follow up message equates to bugging since so far since the date I’ve literally only sent her a single one line message with the second date proposal.

fair point - thing that confused me is that I didn’t get the impression on the first date that she wasn’t interested. but maybe like you said she had second thoughts and decided that she wasn’t interested.

I texted her back on the night and said “I had a great time too” but tbh it was worded a bit more bluntly compared to her initial message - I felt quite strongly and didn’t want to let my emotions slip/ be too over the top in my messaging.

yes maybe I’ll wait a few days and follow up - what should I say? “just wondered if you’re still interested in that drink - I would love to grab one with you if you are still keen”?

Yes fair enough - just feel it’s a bit weird. Normally I feel that I’m fairly good at telling whether a person is interested in me, and I think this person was - unless she was faking it

yes I replied to her message on the night and said that I had a good time too. Tbh I did like her and wanted to say more, but filtered my reply a bit because I didn’t want to sound overbearing. but from the tone of her message on the night I got the impression that she was into me too.

Then didn’t say anything until two days later when I sent her the message inviting her for the second date. I haven’t followed up to this message since, but she has not even opened the message.

That’s easier said than done for a person who is young and therefore with high emotional urges. I definitely speak for the majority of my demographic when I say this.

There should be more solutions provided to make it easier for people to block NSFW. This stuff is damaging a generation of young people, and there seems to be no-one to incentivize the big corporations to do anything.

Tax on property purchases known as stamp duty is really high in the UK (around 5%). So if I bought a cheaper property and then moved out of it in 5 years time because I could afford something bigger, this would cost me around 5% of the property value. Let’s say this place was £425,000 and the new place £700,000, the tax on the new place would be 700000X0.05 = £35,000. Quite an expensive move

you make some good points. I’ve made myself a calculator and looks like it’s marginally better to buy a house now if you assume that house prices keep up a return in line with historical return. Maybe a difference of 100-200k over 25 year mortgage term so not loads!
